Tap Room Concert – 20th Dec 2014

We’re delighted to announce details of the Christmas Tap Room Concert, hosted by Kinnegar Brewing at the Tap Room, Rathmullan House Hotel, Saturday 20th December.

Following the Sold Out November gig, the second of the winter shows on Saturday 20th December, in partnership with Earagail Arts Festival, will feature an intimate performance by the multi-instrumentalist Sarah E Cullan, song writer and performer Jonathan Smeaton with special guest Billy Robinson, along with the talented Calamity Gin and the Sour Tones.

The special Christmas Concert starts at 9pm, with the Tap Room serving its usual Farmhouse Beers & Wood Fired Pizzas from 5pm. Admission is €5 and tickets can be purchased at

The Wild Atlantic World is a unique cultural collaboration between musicians from differing musical traditions taking place in Donegal, north west Ireland. Each year we invite some of the greatest artists from these traditions – folk, world, jazz, blues, traditional to create new musical world premiere performances here, in Ireland’s least explored and most northerly point on the Wild Atlantic Way. Surrounded by stunning landscape with excellent walking, hiking, fishing and spectacular beaches, we invite you to join The Henry Girls for a “once in a lifetime musical experience” right here on the edge of Europe. Based at the legendary McGrorys of Culdaff, one of Irelands most respected venues and family run hotel, with an award-winning restaurant, you will find workshops, concerts, traditional Irish sessions and plenty of opportunity to explore the spectacular Atlantic coastline. Christmas Workshop

Children’s Christmas Storytelling Workshop

“There’s always room for a story that can transport people to another place.” -J.K. Rowling.

Is your child a keen storyteller, reader or performer? Do they love Christmas and all things festive? If so, and they’re aged between 5 and 12 years of age, then this is certainly the workshop for them.

Following the popular Children’s Christmas Story Workshop in 2014, the Earagail Arts Festival in Partnership with Central Library, Letterkenny are delighted to announce the second in their annual Children’s Christmas programme, The Children’s Christmas Storytelling Workshop.

This five week course will look at classic Christmas stories of old and new, while also delving into your child’s own memories and stories of Christmases gone by. With particular emphasis on performance skills and techniques, vocal tuition, confidence building and improvisation, this course will be dynamic and fun in a unique learning environment.

The students will also have the opportunity to discuss their favourite authors and share stories, poetry and books with their peers while developing their own unique performance style.

The course will take place Saturday mornings in the Central Library, Letterkenny from 10:30-11:30am for the 5-7 year olds and 11:30 – 12:30pm for 8-12 year olds, running from 15th November – 13th December, with a final recital and storytelling morning on Saturday 20th December for family and friends. The workshop is priced at €45 per student (family discounts apply).
