A Strong Opening Weekend at Earagail Arts Festival

Monday, July 14th, 2014

The opening weekend of the 26th Earagail Arts Festival has been a huge success and due to popular demand our centrepiece production Fiesta is running another night, Tuesday 15th July.

To celebrate the approaching end to the Fiesta days gone by that we’ve been sharing all week, we enjoyed a celebration of the hits and dancing with a very special outside broadcast with Gary Gamble and Highland Radio in the An Grianan Theatre with our Tea at 3 event.

Sharon Shannon, Frances Black, Mary Coughlan and The Henry Girls were a roaring success on Sunday 13th and performed to a full house with classic tunes and toe tapping melodies. It was an evening enjoyed by all.

With 14 days still to go we are excited to present some excellent theatre including I Do, by Dante or Die, Swing, by Fishamble and Chaos by the dancing comic dives that are the Lords of Strut.

With music by Bombino, Treelan, Eduardo Niebla, Satoko Inoue and We Banjo 3, to name but a few, including visual arts exhibitions, La  Boheme, the Drive In’s and Imaginarium, there will be no shortage of entertainment over the next two weeks.

So get your hands on a programme if you haven’t already and join the festival buzz as we flow into another fun filled week of entertainment and craic.
