Earagail Arts Festival is delighted to announce that this year’s programme is now live and on sale.
This is your first chance to check out the fantastic events we have in-store for our 30th anniversary and even book your tickets early before the brochure is available around the county in June.
Brochures featuring artist Dermot Flynn‘s beautiful cover artwork commissioned by Earagail Arts Festival have already been distributed further afield as far as Dublin and Glasgow. Have you got your hands on one yet? Why not send us a photo, we’d love to hear from you on email firstname.lastname@example.org
Earagail Arts Festival (July 7 to 29) will feature the best in music, theatre, visual arts, film, literature and circus all along the northernmost stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal.
One of the highlights of this year’s programme is the distinctive African groove of Songhoy Blues. The three musicians from northern Mali have cultivated their own legendary status as contemporary ambassadors of West African music and have appeared at numerous festivals including Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Body & Soul, Latitude and Green Man.
Also making a welcome return to this year’s festival for a series of performances as artists-in-residence will be The California Feetwarmers. Overwhelmed by the Irish reception in 2017, the popular Los Angeles group look forward to returning to the North West, dusting down and re-working old classics with their show, a throwback to the heyday of 1920s New Orleans.
Earagail Arts Festival’s programme will also feature plenty for the whole family. Enjoy the circus and carnival atmosphere on the Village Green in Malin during the Wild Atlantic Weekend in Malin or go down the rabbit hole with your kids and experience the magical world of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland at Rathmullan House.
Other highlights of this year’s festival include a special celebration of Donegal’s Female Fiddlers, Lords of Strut, a week-long residency with Donegal’s The Henry Girls, The Mountain Stage at Swell Festival and The Donegal International Folk & Roots Weekend.
Earagail Arts Festival is funded by the Arts Council Ireland, Donegal County Council and Fáilte Ireland.
