Baird Nua-Aoiseacha / Bàird Nua-Aimsireil / Modern Bards
Glassagh, Teach Jeaic
8pm – €10/€8

The Modern Bards will perform new compositions commissioned by the Earagail Arts Festival. An exciting collaboration that brings together some of the very best of Irish and Scottish musicians steeped in a shared tradition.

The California Feetwarmers
Gaoth Dobhair, Teach Hiudai Beag
11pm – €10

The band, overwhelmed by new Irish fans – young and old alike – are renowned for an earthy depth of character that sets them apart from others who have followed that throwback path to New Orleans, circa 1920. Their boisterous on-stage antics are solidly underpinned by playing that is as close to the source as it can be. Based in Los Angeles, the band dusts down and re-works old classics, re-visiting material from The Blue Ridge Playboys, Scott Joplin, The Memphis Jugband and Emile Grimshaw’s Rag Pickers.
