The Donegal fiddle tradition is renowned all over the world as one of the dominant styles of the Irish fiddle tradition. Within this Donegal style there is a rich diversity of local accents. A highlight of last year’s festival, Mná na bhFidleacha, curated by Tara Connaghan and Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, assembled a selection of the finest female traditional fiddle players of all ages from across County Donegal.

Joan Wasser is an American musician, singer-songwriter and producer. She began her career playing violin with The Dambuilders and played with Black Beetle, Antony and the Johnsons, and Those Bastard Souls. Since 2004 she has released her solo material as Joan As Police Woman and on 24th May Joan set to release her new triple album compilation, ‘JOANTHOLOGY’.
