Balor Arts Centre presents
For Foresters | Leila Jane & The Healers
A mouth-watering double header featuring two bands you’ll hear a lot more about in the future.
For Foresters are a three-piece Ambient Experimental Folk act from Letterkenny. Their art is more than just words or music – it’s about uplifting people, connecting with fans internally, through stories such as frontman Gabriel’s work as an undertaker told in a way unheard before. Their music lets people know that it is okay to feel their emotions, to feel free, to be awoken – whether that means they’re inspired to create or just to live life in a more conscious state.
Leila Jane & The Healers embrace the magic of the Delta Blues and combine it with sweet sounding tones of 50’s rock n’ roll and country music. Roy Orbison, Wanda Jackson and John Lee Hooker are among her influences. With a voice described as ‘’somewhere between Janis Joplin and Sandy Denny’’, her raw and heartfelt lyrics display a deep emotional intelligence rarely found in someone of her age.
