Earagail Arts Festival presents

Home with The Henry Girls 2018

Event Description

After a hugely successful first year of Home with The Henry Girls we are delighted to bring this unique residency back to Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way in 2018!

Come and join one of Ireland’s finest folk trios, The Henry Girls, for an enthralling taste of Irish music & culture. Based in their home village of Malin, Donegal on Ireland’s northern most peninsula, The Henry Girls will be your hosts for a week long residency of songwriting workshops, cultural tours, authentic local cuisine, traditional pub sessions and unmissable concerts from 16th -20th July 2018.

Due to the feedback from attendees in 2017 we have included more workshops in 2018 and more music from the Inishowen peninsula. Check out what they have to say and the full itinerary for 2018 below!

Testimonials:

“The Henry Girls make you feel at home… and they take such good care of you… [you are] creating something beautiful… I’m sitting here smiling all the time because I’ve been Home with The Henry Girls, and I’m coming back! Definitely! I’m in love with this place now!” – Ann-Iren Hansen

“I had such a fantastic time with the wonderful girls, and a really lovely group of participants. We all hope that the event will be repeated! … The writing of a new piece of music, and to perform it on stage with the girls, was a seriously fulfilling achievement, and one that amazed several of the participants, that we accomplished all that in the time available!” – Miriam Crowley

“More food than you can eat, in the best places you can eat, trips to beauty spots and guided tours, pub sessions in the evening… concerts… and a great group to be with… [my wife and I] had an absolute ball… everything was absolutely brilliant… the whole thing was great fun and I would highly recommend it… we would do it again in a heartbeat!” – Bill Proctor
