Jim Gaffigan brings his Quality Time tour to An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny as part of Earagail Arts Festival this July.
Presented by Donegal’s premier summer festival on the most northerly part of the Wild Atlantic Way with Aiken Promotions, the four-time Grammy-nominated artist comes to Letterkenny on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.
Jim Gaffigan is a comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, Emmy-winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist known around the world for his unique brand of humour, which largely revolves around his observations on life.
On the silver screen, his many credits include Three Kings, Super Troopers 1 & 2, and Chappaquiddick. 2019 will be Gaffigan’s biggest year to date with an astonishing ten films scheduled for release. Three of these films premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival including Troop Zero with Viola Davis and Alison Janney, Them That Follow, and Light From Light – with many festival goers calling Gaffigan the ‘King of Sundance’.
Gaffigan also has two films releasing later this year in which he is the lead, Being Frank opening Father’s Day Weekend and American Dreamer, a dark thriller opening 9/20.
In April, Gaffigan will co-star in the new film Drunk Parents with Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek. Additionally, this year Gaffigan will release his unprecedented seventh stand up special, Quality Time with Amazon making history as their first original comedy special, and continue his international arena and theatre tour.
Jim will be joined on the night by Aoife O’Connor who was born and raised in Letterkenny. Aoife’s comedy comes from a life lived in the middle of nowhere. From the tragedy vampires you meet day to day (older women who LOVE misery), to your typical Donegal wake, Aoife shares her experiences of mild countryside trauma with a touch of confetti on top.
